It is set amid 64 acres of parkland with 20 acres of sub-tropical gardens accredited to the distinguished gardens of Ireland. These lead to the ruins of the old medieval castle itself, hence the name Dunloe Castle. The ruined keep of the old medieval Dunloe Castle, with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and the River Laune, gives a romantic touch to your stay. Room Information

Renowned as being one of the best and most luxurious hotels in Ireland, the Dunloe Castle Hotel consist of 110 beautifully appointed bedrooms. The three different types of rooms available are standard, superior and a suite. The standard rooms are very spacious with a comfortable bed, 2 armchairs and some have fantastic views and a balcony
Upgrade to either a superior room or a suite. Obviously the superior room is larger - it has a couch and 2 armchairs as well as a sliding window onto the balcony, which overlooks the countryside and garden. The spacious and elegant suites consist of 2 adjoining rooms, armchairs and a dining table and a large balcony area. Comfort and relaxation at its best.

Food and Beverage

The Oak Room, the main restaurant of the hotel, overlooks the gardens and the beautiful Gap of Dunloe. This restaurant is open for breakfast and evening meals. Guests can choose from the à la carte menu and can sample the wines bought straight from the vineyard.

The cafe restaurant is open daily for casual dining and offers you a wide selection of light dishes.

After dinner you can enjoy an Irish whiskey or a glass of stout in the intimate bar that overlooks the fountain.

The Dunloe Castle Hotel is ideally situated and is surrounded by some of the finest golf courses in Ireland. The Gap of Dunloe Golf Course is right opposite the hotel. As well as that there are a wide variety of other top class courses nearby such as Beaufort Golf Club, Dooks Golf Club, Killorglin Golf Club and a little further away you also have Waterville Golf Club, Tralee Golf Club and Dingle Golf Club.

Within 10kms
Enjoy a day relaxing on the beach at Inch Strand or Rossbeigh Beach, which are only a short drive from the hotel. Needless to say, walking is one of the most popular pastimes in the area with superb scenic walks like the Dingle Way. A trip to Kerry is not over until you have done the breathtaking drive around the Ring of Kerry. Take a journey by jaunting car through the beautiful Gap of Dunloe or enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Muckross House and Gardens.

From Kerry Airport Take a left as you exit the airport and go straight on until the end of the road. Take a left on this road again and continue straight on until you reach a mini-roundabout in Killarney, which is approximately 15 minutes from the airport. Take the third exit to the right at the roundabout. You will come across another roundabout and again take the third exit signposted N72 to Killorglin. Continue on this road and you will pass the Hotel Europe and Fossa Church on the left hand side. Take the road to the left just past the speed signs, signposted for Dunloe Castle and the Gap of Dunloe. Keep travelling on this road and the Dunloe Castle Hotel is approximately 1.5 miles on the right. Approaching from Cork You will arrive at a roundabout with the Ryan Hotel on your left. Go straight through the roundabout (second exit) and continue on this road until you come to the next roundabout. Continue across this roundabout until you come to another roundabout where you will take the second exit, signposted N72 to Killorglin. Continue on this road and you will pass the Hotel Europe and Fossa Church on the left hand side. Take the road to the left just past the speed signs, signposted for Dunloe Castle and the Gap of Dunloe. Keep travelling on this road and the Dunloe Castle Hotel is approximately 1.5 miles on the right.
